Re: DriverSports GTS Pre-Season | Sunday April 8 | Daytona Road
M3 and FTO already have tunes on them, RX-8 is driven in but has no tune. R33 has 0 miles and no tune. That one I just sent to Laguna Seca.
Will check GT-Data frequently the next few days.
I'm not even sure if I make it to any of the races but it looks like a lot of fun and nothing wrong with preparing just in case.

I think I had wrong room settings last night, 1'44.3 is the best I can manage in the BMW today. I'll take my 0.3 second gap to you though...
Re: DriverSports GTS Pre-Season | Sunday April 8 | Daytona Road
I think the draft setting might have and effect on lap times. Maybe tire wear/fuel consumption wasn't on?

Here's a search including all the cars involved:

On my copy I use the 'search notes' field to enter which driver is committed to being in that car.

Did 5 laps with the Arta. Either it's weak (at least here) or I am. I'll have another play late tonight. Got an RX-7 TC and R33 TC built to try out (I like the idea of the old GT-Rs, reminding me of a nostalgic time of Aussie touring cars).

It was weak for me too. It's a handling car.

Ran some laps... RX-8 is way off the pace at this track. Best I managed was 3 tenths behind g44's R33 time exiting the infield, and 1.5 seconds over the finish line.

man, those cars are fast, especially after driving the Nissan March for a month
Did a 1'43.7 in the FTO, the R33 is way off pace for me but then I don't have a tune for it yet.

The R33 is funny. The harder you drive it the slower it goes. I'll try and post up my tune today.

AWD at work.
I don't have much for that car yet, other than don't trick the gearbox as you're upshifting at 6400 (you are upshifting at 6400, right?) and the trick assumes you're using full rpm so it makes the gaps between gears too small. Same diffs and torque split as my FTO and rally tune.

Ran my 3 favorite premiums for an hour.
R33 TC 42.5
RX-7 TC 43.5
ISF RM 44.0
Looks like a no brainer if I was trying to win just this race. Tire wear and balance at other tracks is where this will get interesting.
Shifting the R33 at 7000 RPM here (didn't test it out properly though; I tend to go just a little beyond what peak power RPM is reported). Took clacksman's FTO F & R diffs and liked it best with 30/70 ACD. Max front downforce and 45 rear. Liked the front 10 mm higher than the rear.

I look at how drastically power dies off after peak versus torque produced where I land post-upshift. R33 power kinda dies off sorta rapidly, and there's loads of torque so I'm using the 6500 mark as a don't-go-past-here mark.

Re: DriverSports GTS Pre-Season | Sunday April 8 | Daytona Road
2 hour wrench session on the NSX, got it down to 42.4 a couple times, high 42s a handful of times, and otherwise mostly in the 43s. Given that I spent so long tuning it, I think I'll probably go with this car.

Re: DriverSports GTS Pre-Season | Sunday April 8 | Daytona Road
I'm thinking of what I think will be the slower of my two choices at each of the pre-season tracks.
The RX-7 TC at Daytona.
The R33 TC at Fuji.
Whoever loses less badly wins.

I am leaning towards the RX-7 TC as an alternative to the BMW. It's just too pretty.
