I don't care much for the Solstice. The MX-5 is more fun.
The Legends would be fun on road courses.
I just tried the Caddy for the first time. That thing is wicked! Twisted Evil

I'm digging the Solstice more since the NTM update. It's less of a handfull.

The Legends is always a blast.

If we get together in a hosted session I've got a nice setup for the Cadillac that makes it much more enjoyable to drive.

I'm down for any hosted session as long as we're not driving in circles. Just kidding, I'll try anything once.

On another note, why when I respond on my iPhone does this specific forum take 2-3 seconds for each letter I type to appear on the screen? The Tuna site has a similar delay but not as bad.

Cheers!

So how did you remove the steering wheel and the Stig's arms ? I've got the FOV adjusted much more to my liking but I think I'd see a benefit in deleting these. TIA

I get about 1.5 letters per second on PS3 browser, I can get pretty far ahead of it. Don't know why it does that.

Spec, that's the theme including a number of graphics. the iPhone and Android mobile browsers take a lot of CPU to load graphics. Not sure there's anything we can do about it, even if we remove all the graphics from the theme, things like tablets, phones etc struggle to load the emoticons and post icons. Hopefully we get an updated mobile version of the site from our host soon.

It's in the Graphics options, forget exactly which one it is, but it's in the right hand column near the top. Something about "Show all", "Show wheel", "hide wheel".

Next time you're in a session, best to do in a test session, before you enter the pits, go to the options menu (top right) and go through the tabs on the bottom of the popup. Driver arms and steering wheel are in the Graphics section, IIRC.

Great Thanks! already had Robiker, Spec, Rack , HWK, and Wall. Found the "hide steering wheel" setting in the advanced tab in Graphics, which also removes the arms. Finally got to play a little bit after all the reading, I am totally impressed with this thing so far. I've only driven 10 or so laps in the solstice at LimeRock up to this point, got her down to 1:02.9xx. Divorce and unemployment are lurking.

LOL! Just wait until you join your first race and have a 30 minute clean battle without GT Draft....it'll be all over. cheers

I wish you dudes had Road America. The Legends car is super duper fun here. The straights are long, but it's a blast when you get to the corners!

I keep hearing voices in my head saying things like new computer, triple screens, load cell pedals, button box, cockpit, new shifter, and new wheel. The voices won't stop.

I raced GT5 Friday night. I just couldn't believe the draft even on week. I don't need hyper-realism in a sim, but the draft in GT fundamentally changes racing.

Being a newb I'd definitely be interested in the Solstice at like Limerock. That car runs quite a bit like the SM. I finally hooked up my Dell 620 to the TV I use for GT5 yesterday so I don't know if the Solstice seems different because of going to a 60" screen, or the tire update, or both lol. Big diff from the laptop screen I tried it on initially. Seems a little looser to me. Like Roo said, I backed up the FOV a teeny bit and I like it better. Also found that if you press either shift or ctrl (can't remember now)while pressing the brackets keys it'll raise or lower your seat which helped too...pretty cool.

Tried to go to the practice thing and I'm not able to see anything that I can click on. The "practice" tab was empty. Not sure what I did wrong there.

Yeah, I'm diggin' the 8-way power seat option, but I can't seem to find the lumbar adjuster or the heater switch.

The Solstice was upgraded to the New Tire Model, which by all accounts is a little less planted on grip, but more forgiving over the limit.

Too many bashers in the rookie events for my taste.
Hopefully the D and C license events won't be as bad.

Season 3 starts Monday, and yeah, the normal events seem to be tamer. The races go every hour, instead of every 30 mins, so there are more splits per session, which I think leads to more of the low ranked hacks getting put together.
