I don't remember a premo being incorrectly 40:60.  The MR Lotuseses were all about that, but that was correct or at least close.

Small typo on my RX-7 time - the year is actually '02 not '92. I blame my keyboard.

Ok, I'll be back on the track soon. As in tonight.

Danke!

Yeah, that car is a good time. Tires and Cubic Inches = Faster than expected.

I'm torn between improving my times that I've already posted or adding more cars. I mean I'm sure I can better my CTS and Smokey & the Bandit times, but there's a Tesla roadster, a C2 Stingray and a ZR1 that have yet to be run. Also MiTO.

run more cars...leave some crumbs for the FNG.... ;-)

I will do what I can on the elco but I don't see 20 seconds coming off....

I almost feel compelled to try the stook....

Do you think having a wheel helps or hurts? I am sure a pro setup with a chair and pedals would be great, but not in the cards for our current living arrangement, and I am not gonna spend money on gaming that would be better spent on my autocross car :-)  some say though it is harder with a wheel Question

You can probably find most of that time watching Rev's replay. It's a ghost file, so you could even upload it and chase it as well.

Having a wheel and pedal setup helps, to an extent. Many of us went a long way on a controller and got to be pretty quick on the sticks. Heck, some guys got the semi-finals of GT Academy on sticks, but the subtle inputs from a wheel and pedals are better tools for squeezing those last little bits out. The real benefit I found is in consistency.

A wheel and some kind of home made stand is an investment that will be really hard to beat when you consider cost/hour of use.

thing is, because (physical) race car kinda trumps all of it (sim setup).....  Very Happy   but maybe someday.

My take as someone who's loved cars from the age of four and played this game from the jump:

It took time to convert from the awesomeness of a DS3 to be as good and now better with a wheel. I started with my first wheel (Driving Force) during GT3 (A-spec) and I was not as fast as I was with a controller. When I got the DFP the same was true, but I stuck with it. Now I'm definitely faster with a wheel . . . but it took time.

Cost: I got a DFP for a birthday prezzie, but you can find a Driving Force GT at Amazon from Logitec. I also got a cheap(ish) setup that I use for my recliner. The Xlerator Big Boy Stand I use sits in the corner of the living room and has stood for years without taking up any appreciable room. Similar footprint to a DVD case/shelf.

Totally this. One of the things I like about the tests in GT6 is your friends "ghost line" can be followed while you're doing the test. Comes in handy for some.

While I can't figure out how to directly post to YouTube I'd be more than happy to send a replay to anyone. Once you get the file via e-mail you should be able to copy it to a flash drive, then put that flash drive into your PS3. Then after you've copied it there is a section in the Gallery where you can import replays from your saved files.

There are smarter folk out there than yours truly who could walk us through the process I'm sure.

This thing has two speeds like my old AMF Roadmaster bike.

Also, also. Go to the custom bin. Check other. Get bed cover. I prefer the semi-camper version . . . and would love it if you could paint that big thing. Alas as I discovered with the second El Kabong (GING) I bought you can paint the wheels and the body . . . but not the big white tailgate cover. The regular covers you can paint.

I'll post a time for the Fisker Karma. I have one, but it lacks quality. Actually I kind of wonder why they rated that thing so high.

i'm impressed!

Also impressed with the economy of steering input - strong argument in favor of a wheel....hell I am surprised I'm as close as I am with DS3.

But i'll keep trying!

This Car should be sub 7:10 with some intense practice. It just wants to leave the track and kill you at every corner, so I just logged the first clean lap I could muster. Also, the trunk kept popping open. Smile
