Loove this event, I suppose I'd better though...
Going to have a lounge up practicing tonight, and I'll be on TS. I know it's late, but if there are any west coasters, or night owls, please stop in and say Hi!

0'54.8XX is the absolute limit of my talent. I am hoping I am just tired...
Re: Caterham | Saturday Feb 4 | Madrid Mini
My lounge has been up overnight, but I am back in it now.
Will take a brief respite this afternoon to run to the store, but other than that, I am trying to at least get down to the lower 54s...

Re: Caterham | Saturday Feb 4 | Madrid Mini
Fastest I had on record in my room was a '54.342. I just pipped that at '54.310. I am not taking that last corner right, if I had been taking it as fast as you, it would have been a '54.1, I was .350 up through the 2nd trap!
Of course, this track has 3 corners and 3 long straights, so... I still have a lot of practice to do before I think that means anything!
Corner 2 is an absolute darling!

I can't get to 219 HP without putting some sort of exhaust piece on.. I've double checked, and I appear to have everything else, and the car is broken in, oil changed, etc...anything I could be missing? I wanted to double check before Qing with the exhaust, since those parts are specifically listed, wasn't sure if I should trust the 'OR Build your car as you please to meet all three restrictions, hp, kg & PP.', since it could be a copy/paste issue.

Re: Caterham | Saturday Feb 4 | Madrid Mini
limiter's 100%
Only thing I can think of is that it was a high-mile car I used a refresh card on. I re-sent it to myself, and re-broke it in, and have the exact same thing again - it builds to 213HP/124Ft-lbs 605pp w/o exhaust, any exhaust piece puts it at 609 pp, with torque and HP slightly varied but in legal range.

Re: Caterham | Saturday Feb 4 | Madrid Mini
Forgetful, can we open a spectator spot for Johnc150x please. That's a friend of mine who was going to make this his first race with us, but didn't get up before the qualifying deadline (It's 11:00am, he's in Japan, Brit Expatriate and former Lotus employee!)
Re: Caterham | Saturday Feb 4 | Madrid Mini
Whacked the wall early, got no damage which I thought was weird. Later, grazed the wall and got serious double right side damage, enough that it took me three stabs to get it into the damn pits. Sigh.

Re: Caterham | Saturday Feb 4 | Madrid Mini
Wow, I can't say enough about the intensity level of this one. It was fun, but also nerve-racking with many close calls between the 3 or 4 of us battling up front. There was lots of incidental contact with no damage, everyone was trying hard to stay up front but also trying hard not to take each other out. I saw clacks get sucked into the wall in my rear view mirror, It looked like Freddy Kruger reached out and grabbed the nose of his car. Awesome drive Rack, I was able to keep it close enough to potentially steal the win from you with just one mistake, but as usual you drove flawlessly. Congrats!!

Re: Caterham | Saturday Feb 4 | Madrid Mini
Got what I felt was a great start, moved up in to 6th from 7 on the grid prior to turn 1. Spent the next couple of laps trying to run down Forgetful, often too hard, and kept hanging around him until around Lap 8 when... as feared... work called.
What a great little car on a wonderful little track. Right up until I had to leave. I didn't see anyone curing my name in chat after the race, so I'm glad I got off the track enough. Really looking forward to Monaco!
