You may want to keep the chassis refreshed via GTAuto too. I went with Burnt Sand and Isotope Green.
Should be on after dinner tonight finding out what I want for brakes and/or learning to drive.

I won't be able to practice the next 2 evenings, but maybe I get some laps in tomorrow morning.
Chassis is refreshed too, just forgot to mention it.

I have a vision of that TVR colour shift white with flourescent blue rims. (Colour of the month for February will be grays and whites).

Damn, I was looking forward to pinks and reds all month ostensibly for V-day.

Interesting. I was thinking of the gloomy grey winteryness of February, but the silly V-day candy colours are enticing.

Lol, Feb. is way gloomy enough without driving it too . I typically call Feb. the Tuesday of the year lol, so Tuesday in Feb are really gloomy lol. Anyway....sounds like a good car for Fridays,

Under 1'09. This is not one of the cars where you want to mash the throttle midcorner. Rooster asked me to post my tune so I stuck it in GTData.

very impressive
I got it to 1'10.0 after one hour. I'm sure I can find a few more tenth with a lot of laps but under 1'09 will stay out of reach for me.
This is a great combo

20 laps later I'm at 1'09.4 and it feels like there is still room for improvement. Maybe I can get under 1'09 after all.
Amazing what you can do with those tires if you adjust your driving

Play with brakes too, less is usually more with no ABS. At 2/0 it's barely possible to really lock the fronts, and at 1/0 it would take a much longer brake zone than exists at Tsukuba to lock the fronts.

after peaking into GTData I already started with 1/0
being smooth seems to give me the most improvement. Smoothness was/is always my weakness and the comfort tires really teach you this nicely.

This is a whole lotta fun! Ran some laps in Practice mode and came up with this Need to try it in my lounge next and set a qualifying time, but this race is going to a 'Hoot'!

Anyone running this tonight? If no one has a room up, I'll probably be firing a room up in about 1-1.5 hours.

Re: No Tuning | Elise '96 | Friday Feb 3 | Tsukuba
yeah, I got into the 1'08s twice with a best of 1'08.817
Thanks to Rack and Don for stopping by and setting times I could use as orientation. Seeing in which section I'm losing most time is very helpful.
Good night

Sector times are always interesting, moreso if the entire gap to someone faster is in just one of them.
Starting to think my 1'09.006 Q lap from a few days ago could use some improvement.

Much different car in the online lounge . Tricky to get under 1'09 within the 5 lap qualifying window, but my best tonight was only a 1'08.801s on nicely warm tyres, so I'll take my qualifying run and be happy with it

1.08.812, in the bank, but times should come down past 5 laps, as it takes quite a while to get heat into those tires. The first lap on ice cold tires promises to be very interesting. Consistency will be key.
I thought no ABS would be harder than this, but I guess it depends on the combo.

Yeah it's not hard with the brakes turned down and a few laps of practice.
In.
