As I stated on Oppo (The inmate-run-asylum on the backside of the Jalopnik campus), I support the LBGP community and their struggle for equality.

I need to go look up the quote by Sato (I think it was) after the whole Stirling Moss bit about women not having the mental faculty to be F1 drivers. But it was something like "It's ok though, because Satos don't have the faculties to be F1 drivers either!"

Been using their free app on my phone to keep up, pretty darn cool.

You can't call him 'The mayor of Hinchtown' more often than you call him by his actual name. Otherwise woo hoo, national pride and whatnot.
Great racing at the end there. They should just run 4 or 5 sprints rather than one long race. The restarts made for some good racing... and some bad racing too!

Just finished my DVRing of it. Indycars doesn't suck. This makes for a full dance card of racing to keep up with.
Why no Interlagos? Street racing is fun, especially with those yellows, but they've got one of the best tracks in the world, just up on the hills right over there.

I only saw the last 15 laps, but whoa what a finish!
This is the first season I've followed Indy Cars, mainly because of the courses being road vs. street; and I've got to say. It's been a great season!

Pretty much. Happy for the old guy, he deserves it, but they need the Green-White-Checker for their oval races.

And dat Blue Jays terribly under performing even if they were.
No spoiler, but vague comment on the second race: Are the commentators retarded or is it really that hard to predict 10-20 laps out of who is actually going to be able to run race distance or pit, and therefore who is actually leading the race?
Re: Indycars '13
The ABCDESPN dudes are, in fact, retarded.
Random comment on first race: My respect for Saavvedra went up from 'zero' to 'something'.

Caught the announcement of the inaugural Indy Grand Prix to kick off next years season with the running of the road course. I'm all for it (wondering why it took so long really). Anyone catch any details on the changes to the track other than to the spectator areas?

I think they're using the same road course config that Grand-Am has been using the last few years.group44 wrote:Caught the announcement of the inaugural Indy Grand Prix to kick off next years season with the running of the road course. edit: Clockwise (sort of like F1 used to do on an earlier layout) it is.

Re: Indycars '13
I like how every track that spends money for Indycar is all like "more passing zones" and nobody mentions it'd be cheaper and easier to just take downforce off the cars.
