Gran Turismo ArenaThis is a multipurpose arena used to accommodate tens of thousands of spectators, with a special circuit set up on its field. The total length of the course is short at 668 metres, but the variety of corners in its layout is equal to a large scale circuit. This is a great stage for Karts and small displacement cars. You can also remove the cornerstones and corner barriers to set up a variety of attractions using cones.

Cutting 300 cars is rough, but if it was the crappy legacy models from FM2 then ... deal with it.  What makes me really wonder about FM5 is still no night/weather/rally even though it's on a new box.

82 types, 188 variations. Also the 'external parts' icon has four things in it (wing, lights, bumpers for three). Garage list of your cars has profiles for icons instead of 7/8-front-view-icons (helps see wheels).

I have turned quite a few laps on the famous British circuit in the PC simulator iRacing, and found Gran Turismo’s version to be nearly identical.

They no longer drive as “ducks-in-a-row”, as we saw in almost every race in GT5. They were actually racing with each other, going two – and once nearly three – wide into corners. When challenged with a pass, they didn’t put up too much of a fight, but some of them (not all drivers exhibited this behavior) actually fought back to pass me again, despite no major mistakes of my own.

There’s also a very useful new feature in the game’s heads-up display called a “Blindside Indicator”. When enabled, a small red arrow blinks if there’s another car beside you – important information if you can’t see the mirrors in your preferred driving view.

Our farm used to be on the tarmac part of a tarmac to gravel stage of the WRC. So, if I go home on a trip, I have to take a drive with the GPS on these roads and upload to GT6 for some point to point rally action. Nice.

Will be interesting to see how they can be further customized with buildings and such.

I doubt any - what we'll get IMO is a course maker scenery aligned to the lat/long/alt of the GPS track. Which is still neat - we've all got tracks mapped around the local streets and roads, don't we.   Any parking lot with two exits is a chicane in waiting. Alternately, map it on bicycle, and you can add some altitude wherever you want to so long as you don't mind looking like a retard while you're holding up a broomstick with a phone on it.

To fuuny, the imagery in my head is priceless. There's some roads a ways south of here that'd make a righteous rally stage/hill climb. Limitations in implementation of all that in game... we'll see.

Hi guys. It's been a while and I apologize, we are so busy this year that I haven't had time to do any virtual racing. I really only followed the GT6 news very haphazardly, but of course being a GT nerd I want to get it when it comes out. 

Do you guys have any recommendations of what the best pre-order deal is going to be?
