As long as the top time isn't a 1:01.9, seem like a solid start. Since I haven't had a chance to get in the rig for so long, I'd be afraid to see my times.

Neat. Can you actually 'feel' a difference or does it just show up on the clock? I know you've brought up the lag issue before, but I'm still not clear how a couple milliseconds can be noticeable. Guess if it works, it works.

I'm quite certain my TV was slowing me up a bit. Considering how quickly the improvement came after I switched, I'd say it's a not insignificant amount.

Probably the biggest tell is when I shift. Even when my TV was new I noticed that I would shift and there was a gap between when I would feel the click of my paddle, vs. when the engine sound in the game would change. On the new monitor that feeling/sound is much closer to instantaneous.

It's only a 23" monitor, but on the desk, up close, I barely notice that it's a smaller screen.

I got input lag figures from this site, it updates regularly.

Neat.  Is this the only round, and if so then y no obvious Canadia-only ranking?

Round 1 of 4. Round 2 starts today, 370Z on Ape Rick Cott Hill. All rounds are open until the last day, which leads some to believe that the final ranking will be cumulative.

Dunno why there's no ranking by region. Do suspect 1 of the Canucks ahead of me is a duplicate account (ThanksEh, which I think was LetCanadaIn, has the same driver name as a similar PSN ID a few spots down.) Also could be a couple of ineligible Qbeckers in there, but can't be sure.

Low grip and more power than a lawnmower. That's a little more fun.

Round 2: 1'35.219, 245 overall, 6th in Canada by my count.

Turns out a DUI excludes you, so that excludes one Canadian that ranks ahead of me.

GT-R Black at Bathurst is a solid combo. At this rate it's a safe bet that the final round will feature the GT3 GT-R at either Silverstone, Le Mans or the 'Ring. My money's on the Nordschleife.

I doubt that highly; too long for someone remotely new to learn and thus bad for a TT contest where you're looking for ability rather than 10 years of game experience.

Thanks John. I've been pretty happy with my results, but I just don't know if I can squeeze in to the top 4. There are already 4 Canucks in the 15s.

I've got the rest of this week off and I took next Thursday and Friday off, so it won't be for a lack of trying.

I've broken in to the 2'15s with a .939. 11th in Canada. I feel like I know enough about each corner to get down in to the .500 range. 4th place is .46x, but I think is ineligible.

You've got a ton of time left before the competition ends, you can do it! You also never know, some of the others may be ineligible too!

Good job! I think my optimal is somewhere in the mid to high 15s, but it's moot, since I don't have the patience to hook those perfect corners together. Keep pushing and get yourself to finals.

Push push push!!! Keep at it man....this competition will drive you mental, I know. Just keep at it, you will hate it and at this point it won't be fun, but keep plugging away and that magic lap will arrive.

Good luck and may the power of Jeff Gordon's mustache ride with you for extra speed!

I'm starting in to that frustration zone now. I drove until my arms and braking leg were worn out last night. I'll be doing the same today and through the weekend.
