I've been getting my ass handed to me by the SRF. I have the speed, but the damn thing insists on killing me multiple times per race. And I'm horrible in traffic with the car.

The SRF and the Skippy are both finicky little bastards. If I don't spend a lot of time and practice I die frequently.

I did my thing and went my pace and watched one car after another losing control. To make a long story short I finished 3rd and am proud as hell

Turned out to have a SOF of 3218

I'm still shaking though

As Spec said, practice makes perfect better. I put a lot of laps in and that pays off. With much more time on my hands than usual I'm really enjoying iRacing right now.

Well, that feels better. 1 race at MOSCCo in the Solstice, finished second in an Andy sandwich (G44 behind me, so other Andrew won it). Was surprised to find that I got a 4x contact for what I thought was a near miss 0x early on when a miata got sideways in T2. 7 incidents and my SR went up, that's how low it is.

2nd race of the night in the SRF at Scummit Point. Started 7th, climbed to 5th, spun back to 10th, climbed to 7th, avoided a suddenly slow lap car by cutting through the grass and when taking the subsequent black flag slow down I spooked the lap car I had just passed in to a spin. Finished where I started in 7th with 3 incident points.

Now at 1.55. Gotta get over 2.00 or I get demoted

Anyone here have Oran Park? Wow, what a crazy little circuit....it's a shame it's gone in real life.

just did (quite) a few test laps with the SRF and I don't know whether I should be crying or laughing. What a fun track, but also what a frustrating track. I don't think I got 2 laps in a row half way right.

T1 turns the breaking zone of T2 into a hazard zone. That'll be interesting under race conditions.

For T6 you have to turn in before you see anything; same goes for T7 but there you also need a bit of breaking (at least I do).

That will be an interesting week in January; I should be back in time to get 1 or 2 races in before that week ends. I guess not being there the whole week will safe me a lot of my safety rating.

Turns 1 and 2 are crazy, it took me an entire night of practice to figure them out to where I wasn't dying, but was consistently fast through them. The track was a bit frustrating to learn...but man, once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun!!

I may go to the SRF darkside that week and get a few races in.

Got in to a huge field, finished 2nd in class, 8th overall. 4 incidents but still a +.10. Andy started right behind me, but my early off track excursion exiting the carousel created a bit of chaos and he got shuffled back.

The Solstice/MX-5 match-up is an odd one here. The Pontiacs pull hard down the long straights and the Mazdas carve up the Solsti in the back twisty bits. Twice I ended up just rolling out of the throttle and not passing Miatas that had just divebomed me to get by where the Solstice was slowest.

Thanks, but I shuffled myself back, then self destructed... twice At one point I even managed to clip the grass under heavy braking and went for quite a ride. Slid inches from the wall and thought "ok, narrowly adverted", then took a peek out the side window just in time to see the Miata I hit
At one point I thought I had found a Miata willing to work with me, but that didn't last long. Interesting track, hope I can get another crack at it tonight.

Just snagged a class win thanks to a lap 1 pileup that collected the fastest Solstice. Got rear ended by a Miata for a 4x, but still improved the SR. .03 to get myself out of demotion territory.

Reel'd off three wins in a row last night in the Pontiac at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, but that was preceded by 1 awful race there in the morning and a so so run around Charlotte's web, so all in all I broke even on SR and iRating.

Also, I intimidate Andy, apparently.

Almost as much as Mosport Just can't seem to put a whole race together. Got all day to fix that.
