Won't be makin this one. Gotta a crappy dinner to go to with peeps I either don't know, or don't really want to be around, but I'm stuck cuz I told my wife I would. It was supposed to be last friday, which made me happy cuz I was sick, but they had to re-schedule and it's now this coming friday. I can't win dangit. Hope to make the next one. Good luck everyone,

Thursday night will be practice night for me. My lounge from 8ish onwards for general practice and tuning, possibly short races for laughs, a trackwalk if wanted, and teasing based on car/wheel/paint selection.

This looks like a great setup/race. Right now, I plan on showing up. Clacksman, I'm running a new ID for racing. Any others you may have can be deleted. I'll try to come out for practice Thursday. Not sure on the car yet. I really like my 330i, but the new Toyota is a blast.

did some pre-testing testing last night with the Toyota 86 GT from last week. I never got into any rhythm and ended up with a mid 1'44. So I switched color and wheels before I went to bed. I'll find out tonight if it helps.

For purposes of sharing and shameless GTData promotion, here's the setup I was trying out on Monday. FYI, I write in the top speed from the graph in the "top speed" spot, since the top speed is pulled all the way left following the tranny trick. Less problems keeping the rear end where it should be than at GVE, so I could get away with more aggressive camber to get the nose to point in faster. Haven't found a way to get any closer than 464 PP to the 466 limit.

Good to hear. I didn't want to screw around reloading from save, so I hadn't gone past engine level 1 + bolt-ons.

thanks for sharing timneyb. I actually went to gtdata yesterday and used your tune. Very Happy

But my engine has also stage 2 and has 304hp at 466pp. The limiter is somewhere at 88%, one notch up would bring it to 305hp and 467pp.

S2k from GVE - 1'44.1 - only changed final drive
86 from previous - 1'44.0 - also only changed final drive

If I can ever leave the lounge I just did those times in I'll plug tims tune into my 86.

Well now my wife is feelin poorly so I'm thinkin we may not be going anywhere tomorrow night. It looks like the 86 is the car and I don't know if I have the new one broken in. I think I used one for another race but not sure till I get home. I may be able to run this race tomorrow. If I don't have the car can anyone send me one?

It doesn't need to be broken-in, and you can buy it at the Toyota dealer although you shouldn't have to as it got handed out free with update 2.0.

mine isn't broken in either. Only disadvantage is that you might have to adjust the limiter after each race as it breaks in.

Since everyone is talking about the 86 GT, no way I'll go with the 330i...easily a second slower than my Toyota, which is nearly a second slower than timney's...but all of this was expected. If everyone else is looking at the 86, I may turn to Mazda Honda for my solution...just for something different...we'll see. edit...I just realized the newer RX's are out, so I'll either look for something else or go for the S2000, or be like everyone else and hop in my Toyota.

The long straight and long corners here are bad for the 330i. As for car list the RX-8s are out as are any of the FD RX-7s with the stock rear aero adjustment.

As you can see my Honda was close to my Toyota but it might not be close to tims Toyota ...

Yeah, the 330 is a good car, but my Toyota goes through the corners - all of them for me - way better. I don't expect to catch Tim's Toyota. I'll be able to get a mid 44, lucky to get low 44. The only other car I'll test is probably the premium S2000.

If I can run, I'll likely dig up the S2000 I used at some race a long while back at Indy. I remember that I used the premium one and had trouble keeping up with Rooster during the race. Switched to the standard one after the race and was easily 2-3mph in the turns.

Or I may try and use the Crapstice again Twisted Evil

I chose the Toyota because it looks cool and I haven't driven it in anger yet Smile Once I've made my money's worth out of the Formula Chameleon Green paint (wife actually said "oooo", when she saw it), I'll run something different, and therefore slower.
