Tuesday Night Practice
There will a practice room open Tuesday night for all those interested for Fridays race. It should be open by 8 pm eastern, maybe earlier like last week.
Ran a few laps earlier and got some 1:52's, so that means the fast guys should be in the 1:40's somewhere lol.

My notes have a 1'51.5 from a month or so when I set the lap count for this combo. That was before a few hundred kilometres of practice in this car at other tracks so maybe there is a 1'49.999, but I kinda doubt it ...

Good practice last night. I carved down to 1'50.4 with 1/0 brakes, and we learned a bit about dealing with the rats in turn 1.

Well the rats seemed to have moved away from the first turn and taken up residence in the s's ...especially the left side. Ran some practice last night with Agent and G44. I got pretty consistant mid 51's so I'm happy with that. G started out not his normal self, but by the time I left he was back to his normal form. Agent was doing well also and I think he dipped into the 50's once, but those pesky rats seem to really like that Red (under the lights) a lot. See you guys tonight,

Re: March Cup race 3/5 | Friday March 16 | Special Stage Route 5 Reverse
not as many rats last night, but still enough to make me think tonight is gonna be a rough one. add some heavy damage and my pit guys are going to be busy pulling fenders. hope they have their wheaties!
free air i'm doing pretty good so i hope to have a 51.x when i run my q in a few minutes. following cars into turn 1 still seems to be problem. i think draft is affecting front of car. or better, its me ... i stink at this track.
my apologies now for race time. i hope i've fed rats enough that they will be sleeping come green flag.

Re: March Cup race 3/5 | Friday March 16 | Special Stage Route 5 Reverse
Well that was by far my best race ever. Didn't finish so great, but the first half was a blast. I actually led for a whole lap lol...1:50 or so seconds, and not in the first lap. Thanks for puttin up the replay Forget, and I don't know how many times you watched it to know when to throw the highlight on me, but thanks that was pretty cool.
Rack asked me afterwards if I was okay with his pass, and to be honest at the time I was a little bent. But I guess I knew even before the replay that it was as I suspected. I gave him the opening and he took it. I ended up bumpin the curb, but if I had been where I should have, it never would have happened. Then Rooster made a comment that made sense. He said "not aggressive= lose race". So sorry for thinkin bad things about ya Rack I'm sure it was the heat of the moment. You're a class act on the track, and I know better. Thinkin about it now, I'm hoping I was runnin clean laps.
Thanks for a great race, Wall

I just watch the replay with my notebook in front of me and write a little director's script of when to jump around, then I watch the replay again while recording following the script.

Had to think on this one for a bit.
Since we started this league we've not had to officially review any incidents. That doesn't mean there haven't been any, but most have been handled like you just did, with a little self reflection and a general attitude that close racing will yield some of the contact we've seen. Everyone seems to be appropriately apologetic and responsible. The measure aggression makes for good racing, and I don't want to legislate that out of the racing.
There's no doubt aggressive moves have been made (you couldn't have missed me slicing through you and robiker), but so long as we stay civil about it we shouldn't need to dole out harsh punishment. There might be some instances where some championship points need to be penalized, but only if it's really aggressive or really stupid. The only time automatic penalties will be handed out is when it's deliberate.
Also, the more it happens the more used to it you'll get. You'll also start to realize when it's just a plain good idea to let the guy go by to avoid those situations.

Re: March Cup race 3/5 | Friday March 16 | Special Stage Route 5 Reverse
I whole heartedly agree with all you said. I just finished watching the first half again and saw that I actually hit Rack in that sharp right with the funny bricks. I never knew I did it. Like I said, I think the heat of the moment, plus the fact that I was up with the fast guys, really had me tweaked lol. That pass he made was perfectly fine, and I really gave him a ton of room cuz I was way out of position. Course you're not thinkin that at the time. It's more like "where the hell does he think he's goin". I'm glad I didn't say something stupid afterwards. Like I said, Rack's a great driver and actually everyone I race with here are clean safe drivers. (well maybe not that pink guy lol, you had inches man). I've been drivin with a lot of you for over a year now, and I think I've always been too cautious so I think last night was a turning point letting me see how far I can push without being a jerk. I need to get better with the side view buttons cuz if I had looked, I would have seen what was happening next to me.
Which leads to a question. Does one of those camera things allow you to look left/right? I heard something about it following your head but didn't know if it only worked for some games like Socom.
Thanks Forget, hopefully I can continue to be in the position to get used to it like you said.

Constant aggression will make you look like a jerk eventually but there's nothing wrong with making the easy passes. If you watch the Rack/Rooster battle over the last 4 laps like I did, you'll see they saved the real aggressive stuff for the final lap.
