Seasonal Time Trials #31 - March 7-21
Japanese street cars pre-1980 on Grand Valley East. 370pp and Comfort Mediums.
https://us.gran-turismo.com/us/gt5/event/d6248.html
Spa-Francorchamps 750pp on Racing Hards
https://us.gran-turismo.com/us/gt5/event/d6249.html
I don't know what's good at 370pp but C-m tires sound fun enough to try a few cars at.
750pp Spa best car should be the 2J or a 908 or something like that

saw these before I signed off last night. so far, 750pp car of choice seems to be the GT Formula. I think I have Toyota Minolta to try, maybe XJR-9? pre-1980 car i will have to search for

off topic: is there level11 or 19 ticket in game?

Interesting, that'll take some combination of low aero, ballast and limiter to get down to 750pp.

I don't know about level 11, but you get a level 19 ticket when you win all the races in the Online B-spec Challenge from 10-26-11.

750pp - FGT is indeed the ringer car. I used one for gold but left lots of time on the table should I decide to go back with an LMP.
370pp - I used a '79 Bluebird, good enough. Leaderboard car is the Dome concept, but there was one '68 Cosmo in the top 10 when I looked.

i like that bluebird hardtop too, but had better laptime with the 117coupe.

Top of my friends leaderboard with a GT-R... Isuzu Bellet 1600 GT-R that is 1'25.339
Of note, it keeps its black hood and stripes, the TA22's stripes get painted over but are still there as a discoloration.

Even at 750pp, the FGT around Spa sounds like exactly how I want to spend my Friday night...

Why don't we all agree to drive the same cars for this TT? Have a little competition among ourselves.
Lets say Toyota GT 2000 and Mazda 787 or something like that.

I like this idea, not that I have much time for TTing.jpro01 wrote:Why don't we all agree to drive the same cars for this TT? Have a little competition among ourselves.

I was running a stock Sauber C9 for this, but an appropriately decked out premium Group C car is something that could be fun for a run.

I like the 787B (just ran a stock one around for 20 minutes).
What do you mean by the Toyota 2000GT? The 67 production car? Or do you mean the crazy Toyota 7?
Free to build them to as close to 750 as you can get?

i'll spend some time rolling a lvl23 ticket for the 787B. should be able to get the 2000gt without much trouble.
are we doing both these TT's in the SE section or lounges?

We can put cars on 'share with friends' for others to use in this as well. I'll do so once I've got the cars ready.

Re: Seasonal Time Trials #31 - March 7-21
was able to beat my minolta time with an unbroken in 787, so i'm officially on the board. 2000GT is also unbroken in, but i'll get that on the track soon.

My 787 is on the board (slower than tims sauber when I ran it) and I shared it (real basic 'tune'), haven't run the 2000GT yet.

Haven't tried the 787 with turbo or break in yet. Sauber was insane fast to Le Combs, but grip felt similar in the 787.
