Re: New member welcome
It's tough to consider you 'new' when your points system spreadsheet declared me the winner of some monthly points deal somewhere else in 2008 when we were playing Prologue.

Remember how I had trouble registering because the name I picked was already taken? I think that's the spreadsheet guy you're thinking of.

Yes, there's two sarcastic people in Evansville named Rick who play GT5. That makes sense.

It's a metropolis of 130K people. Stranger things have happened.
Are we not allowed to mention the mothership on this forum or even make references?

You can reference the deathstar or the four-letter or the planet if you want.

I've been calling the 4-letter 'the mothership' of late since that where everyone seems to have migrated from. I ask because I noticed you referred to it as 'somewhere else' in your reply to my original post.
This place is hard to find when you can't remember the website. I kept typing clacksful.org into a search engine and came up with crap.

Since coming here we've all started learning new things. Comfort tires, no ABS, good wholesome settings that will make us all better drivers. You'll be fine.

Re: New member welcome
Got to say that I feel slightly (but not completely) prepared. I've been tuning on Sport hard to Sport Soft for supercars but testing mynew tracks in a Stagea '98 in comfort softs. Good times.
Actaully my times aren't that fast. But better to go slow & be in control..!

Re: New member welcome
I don't think I've tried the Stagea (it sure looks unwieldy), the dis-Comfort-tired cars we've raced were all pretty modest and generally RWDs made by Mazda. C-s are default equipment on them and they're fine to race on untuned, basically if you're not going to improve the car you don't need to improve the tires. We've had one or two cars on Comfort hards too (including kart space and Nurburgring midnight rain 100%), despite apparently zero cars coming with those as standard equipment.

after accessing the forum from my iPhone the display changed to black on white. How do I get it back to white on black?
More general, do we need a stupid question thread?

We're adjusting things, the colour was supposed to change. Light text on dark is the goal.
You can make a dumb question thread if you want dumb answers.

Re: New member welcome
2.02 brought an "ABS: Off" button to online rooms, so ... we'll be making use of that in appropriate cars.
