New A-spec Challenge seasonals too, Wednesday night update as usual. 650pp 5 lap Suzuka was pretty good.
Gonna have to go shopping, I think I'm short an old Fiat too.

Rounds 3 and 4 of GTAcad '12 are available. Pretty fun batch. Just done the DS3 gold & go so far, snuck into the friendlist top 10 at 4-4 'Spoon Curve'.

Re: Gran Turismo News and Information
I got into the top 5 of my friend list for all 5 events of round 3. Currently 150th of 3-4. Neither will last long
And I admit of cheating in the sense of downloading ghosts and using them
I must say the events are quite enjoyable.

Neato.
PS 475MB is way bigger than those bug fixes would require.

Lurking PSN off and on today. Looks like FFB is stronger/changed, headlighting has been played with, and the automatically-made-upon-game-start backup gamesave works.

Re: Gran Turismo News and Information
The new Seasonal events are up. This round introduces the new "Performance Difference Bouns", which increases the payout the lower the PP of your car is.
Tsukuba - 7 laps
Daytona SS - 5 laps
Cape Ring "Outer" (It's called Periphery, but apparently someone at PD doesn't know that ) - 5 laps
Clubman Stage Route 5 - 7 laps
Eifel (Kart) 103B - 7 laps
Neat. Shame I don't need the credits. Would have been handy a year ago.
This is an expert level event using FF cars.
Tuning is allowed up to 430PP, and tires are limited to Sports/Hard or less.
In this race there is a "Performance Difference Bonus" where cars with lower PP receive a reward bonus For example, winning with a 400PP car in this race will roughly double the reward.

That FF seasonal is neat, grind detected if anyone needs some Cr/XP in a hurry. I ran a 391pp Hyundai, it was giving me 750k ish per win (200% login bonus involved).
OUCD got a refresh too.

Re: Gran Turismo News and Information
Just went through GTAcad rounds 7 & 8. Interesting that round 7 had a new car (GT-R Black Tuned) and round 8 had a old car (370Z Tuned '08). One DS3 run per round, other than the Spa traffic one (8-...4?) which took two tries to gold. Somehow 250th overall on 7-3 Cote D'Azur, rest of them were in the thousands. Did a second lap at 8-8 Motegi because I like East best of all the variations there.

Re: Gran Turismo News and Information
Did 8-5 no where near the proper pace, but that's to be expected. Fun track - hoping they put that in to GT5 soon.
Had some good times in Event 7 that I am sure will tumble down as more people put them in.

$5 for the new track(s); I consider that a fair price
I wouldn't have spent money on the car but when I saw it's free I decided to download it too

Because free works in everybody's budget!
Track will be popular. At least in my house. Also perhaps they are trying to make as many 86 variants as there are Skylines. We have, what...nine already?
Levin, Truneo, Truneo S-version, New Concept '10, Sports Concept '10, '11, '12, '12 Sport concept, Scion.
Did I miss any?

Indeed. I wonder if they fixed the torque curve on this one.

Super Speedway, Road Course, and East and West shorter road courses if I'm reading it correctly. Also I'll be able to tell if they modelled it this year or last based on modifications they did for the Indycar race late last fall.

Re: Gran Turismo News and Information
Added tracks and car to GTData.
FR-S needs break in and build to confirm that values are identical to the Toyota 86 GT.

The modelling was done not before this time last year; the pit lane in/out on the left side of the front straight of full/west road course is the Indycar pit lane modification done after the natural disaster. The Indycars needed the 'oval' pit lane for space, the normal (right-side) pit lane is too narrow to use. The speedway was too damaged and the track owner (Honda) didn't want to spend the effort on fixing it with all the other stuff that needed doing to regular public infrastructure at the time.
Two and a half raceable tracks. West is kinda useless. East is great. Full road course is pretty good. Speedway is what it is. No weather change kinda disappointing especially for $5.
FR-S is neat. Might have a fruitier exhaust note than the 86GT. Is left-hand drive (correctly). Torque curve is the same guesstimate as the 86 rather than the actual torque curve, ah well.
Some times going into GTData shortly.
