Well, it turns out brakes are important. Who knew?
Also the jerk that runs GTData requires times to be associated with a tune, even if it's a blank one.

I must run this on Sunday to generate fodder for a signature.

Are the race settings really Suzuka weather change, 0% surface water, 0 change? I just ran a couple sets of 5 to get my eye in, and figured I'd change the settings from the Pre-Q guidelines to experience the wet, but then I scrolled down and saw that.

Yeah it's fixed dry - the weather change track(s) look much spiffier than the plain version(s).

Yes, you'll notice that given the opportunity I will always choose the weather version of a track, even if it's meant to be a dry, sunny race. The lighting is much better, the track looks more vibrant, resulting in better pics and replays.

That makes sense. I'm sure once the posting format is worked out, it'll be harder to confuse me.
I put a 2'32.313 in the bank. I'll probably be on tonight, sometime between 9 and 11 EST, if anybody's also running around.

I have a 2'31.5 in the bank but I don't know if it's clean. Check likely lounges for yellow lights before you make your own.

luckily I banked a 1'32.637 Friday night; because I'm not sure if I can do more practice tonight.
I just came back from my first day on skies in 15 years. Lots of fun and a great father-son bonding opportunity. But now I can hardly walk and might fall asleep within the next 30 minutes.

Please note the changes to the Live Qualifying format.
Live Qualifying - GT5's live Free Run qualifying system is broken, requiring a few steps to be able to have a live qualifying session and get the starting grid to set properly. If the room is set up right the listing of PSN ID's in free run properly reflects the order of fastest laps, however the grid staging mechanism appears to set the grid based on overall distance traveled during the free run session. We have established that the following procedures should work if followed to the letter.
Once all drivers are present and all restrictions properly set the host will announce that Live Qualifying is open. Drivers will be allowed to run 4 laps (At long tracks a shorter lap count will be used. Spa-Francorchamps and Cape Ring: 3 laps. La Sarthe: 2 laps. Nürburgring Nordschelife, Type V and 24h: 1 lap). After completing all of their laps everyone must park in a group near turn 1. Drivers can begin lining up in the qualifying order listed on screen if it is accurate. The host will monitor the PSN ID listing to ensure that the game is properly scoring lap times. If not the host will ask each driver to type their best time in to the text chat to do a manual sorting. When parking please engage the handbrake by holding the button for 2 seconds. When you do so you can pause and type. With everyone in the proper the host will start the race.

Good run guys. I definitely missed running with real decent racers (emphasis on both the real and the decent). Lol at the win for the rusty guy.
