Cappucino Cup RM | Friday July 13 | Tsukuba
DriverSports is proud to present our latest challenge, the Cappucino Cup. A six week series using three phases of car specification based on the '95 Suzuki Cappucino. We finish the last two weeks with the Race Modified version (again limited to Stealth Modifications on the engine but with any turbo upgrade) on Sports Medium tires, this week at Tsukuba and next week at Laguna Seca. Events will be roughly one hour total. Registration closes at 8:45 and the Drivers Meeting begins at 9:00 and ends at 9:10 pm EST.

Remember performing the RM process on a car will reset its break-in state but not its odometer, so either make a fresh 0km RM and break it in or post and we'll get a ready one to you.
Lap time from initial testing was 1'07.
edit for agent: The RM weighs 590kg, no weight reduction possible after RM. hp is about 100 and depends on which turbo you use.

Might have to play between the turbos on this. Quite a difference in torque/hp as you go thru the three possibles.

You've got stage upgrades and therefore need a different car.
The max a legal car will hit is 446pp (#1 or #3 turbo) or 442pp (#2 turbo).

I think the hp's end up around
Stage 1 turbo 101 hp
Stage 2 turbo 103 hp
Stage 3 turbo 108 hp
Haven't tried stage 1 yet, but 2 & 3 are very close with some minor tranny tweeks (may not even need them really). Mph is different, but the times come really close, so there is give and take there. I'll try S1 and see if the biggest torque difference is that different.

Can some one send me a fully broken in car? Much appreciated.
I'm curious to see what the different turbos end up doing.
Saint, do you know which you will be using?

I will not be running this event, RL conflict. Weekend events are tough for me to attend normally as well. Enjoy the race.

I'll have a practice room up tomorrow night (Wed) for this race for anyone interested. Won't be able to do one Thursday.
I'll send you a car Juan, if someone tells me how . I've mooched cars off people for over a year now and never learned how to do it. Sorry....and thanks.

Okay, thanks man. Room will be up around 7:30 or so unless you get one up before.

* Also, fwiw, stage 2 and 3 turbos are very close with 3 giving maybe 1 mph in the straights with my tranny anyway. Stage 1 is .5 behind with tranny same as 2 &3. Didn't monkey with it yet, just trying to see if it's worth it for the torque. Stage 1 needs LSD adjust at least with sensativity to keep the rear not so happy.
My best was 1:07.1 stage 3, and 1:07.3 stage 2 around lap 7 for both

Few practice races earlier with about a half dozen guys. I settled on the #3 turbo, at least it's worth revving to 7k rpm instead of 6k. My gearing didn't feel like it suited it but I still ran fastest with the #3, if only by .2.

Were you using the same gears as last week? Also, seems looser is more better.

No, my gears were whatever was on the car, don't know how they compare to last weeks car. I'll stick 'em in GTData by lunchtime.

Re: Cappucino Cup RM | Friday July 13 | Tsukuba
came to check which race track we were going too. I had used the tune that was on the gtdata for last weeks race. There isn't one for the RM though, where should ihave the LSD at? thats pretty much where i struggle the most.

My LSD was 18/18/5, but I haven't played with it - that's just about what I normally use in a lightweight car. Make sure you use max aero on the race car.

Re: Cappucino Cup RM | Friday July 13 | Tsukuba
i was able to crack the 107's mostly 108's.
I still have most of the original clacksman setup and it handles good.
Edit:I've already thanked Clacks but i would also like to thank everyone for being willing to help me get a fully broken-in car. You guys run a great racing organization here.

Went to stock gears with a teeny tweek in 5th and got down to 1:07.007 (dammit). Set the diff sensativity to 10 and it got rid of the rear end comin around, just not sure what I lose in doing that. Gotta tweek the suspension a bit cuz I'm losin time in the last turn whether I down shift or leave it in 5th. I should be mid 106's if I can get rid of the understeer.
