I agree on pumping up the tires, really helps with the higher speed grip and makes the car more controllable in my opinion. It seems that in my experience, tuning is all about making the Skippy more driveable, less about speed exactly. Good things, Wallhugger. Cool

Well my fastest was 59.009 with around half in the 59's and the rest low 1:00's. Average was 1:00.442 with only 1 inc. Like you said though, drivabilty is way more important. Being able to push the car a little more in places I was dreading without white knuckling it was great. The leader Q'd with a low 58 but the last 5-6 laps I was catching him.
I totally forgot to check the temps at the end. I was trying during practice to get them more even across which is why I dropped them a pound. The outsides were still colder than the inside and middle, but only by around 5 degrees so that's pretty close seeing as you can only adjust front camber so far with the springs which I bumped to 4. I had the bar at 4 also but will see about going to 5 there.

It may have been a measly 1300 SoF race, but the Logo Liveried Mustang won its debut at Okyama.

This was the closest anyone came to me, other than the eventual lapped traffic

Anyone try out rFactor 2? They have the new limerock park layout. It looks pretty good. I don't have the skippy in iRacing but the skippy in rFactor feels great.

Erntehrlergos was not so ermahgehrd for me this week. Two races, wrecked in T3 and T1. Ran around alone for the remainders.

Congrats on the pace Nigel, that was an impressive Q time.

I have read that the rFactor 2 Skippy is the National version, on slicks and likes to be driven sideways. I've not played rFactor 2 but I am considering it for some offline racing needs. I tried to play rFactor 1 because the DVD came with my G27 but found it was only the demo (cheap bastards...) and it was... awful.

Looks interesting, I started my Skippy training at Lime Rock, looking forward to more. The SRF is a blast anywhere, and I'm thinking anything would be fun at Interlagos. What a great layout that is. I will say though , I'm having serious issues with my Solstice motivation lately, ... you ?

OkAida Short and I have pleasant history, though the Skip around here is more challenging. I am driving with the tail out a lot more than I would like to get those 1'00s. Might settle for 1'01s and attrition... It's always an interesting lap, even if it's not many people's favorite track.

I'm more in to the Solstice now that ever before. The way it handles since the latest tire update combined with the fact that I'm in the running to place in the top 5 overall is pretty motivating. The last certificate I need is the Top 5 Overall. Remember, trophy whore here.

I ran 7 races at Scummit Point because in my first 4 I scored 108 twice, meaning I didn't have to worry about getting averaged down if I ran more races. Managed a 134 and 125 in my last two, so it was well worth it.

The reason I'm worried about most of this weeks sched is because it's mostly base content, meaning the SRF and GTCup will be full of rookies looking for their MPR. The Skippy won't be too bad, I do actually like OkAida more than most people seem to.

Interlagos was mean to me. Sad

No, I'm not hopeful that we'll see the Lotus 49 any time soon. It's pretty much fact right now that it won't be released until NTM v5.0 is released. That's the dream though. Sweet dreams are made of Lotus 49s...

Well that was a frustrating race. Ended up in a split with Tracy, was cool. Started 2nd, took 1st at the start, had a healthy lead built up on everyone by lap 7 with only the 2nd place guy near me. Slipped up a bit, let him pass me because it was early. Watched him slip up ahead of me, moved waaaaay inside, then he turns in and drives straight in to my rear corner, race me back to the pits, then raced me out of the pits. When I say "turns in" I don't mean to the racing line, I mean so that he's driving perpendicular to the apex. Attack mode ENGAGED! Evil or Very Mad

Gained .11 SR, so... on my way back in to the 2s again...

Lost me in traffic. End up behind the leaders, down a lap but made up 12 seconds on the people leading the race, passed them, watched 1 and 2 wreck each other... Split 2 was a complete shit show... Laughing
