I had a blast at Zolder in the SRF. Once you know the tight spots you're good to go.

Cracked 1000 points for the first time in the Solstice with a thrilling race at Sebring on the Club course. I was nose to tail with the lead Solstice for 17 laps, got a good run and made a pass for the lead on lap 17 and snagged a decent win for 118 pts, putting me at 1044 on the season, 5th overall, 1st in Div 2.

GTCup at MRLS... plenty of 4.0 rookies and 1.00 D classers around in the base content on a track that's tough on the SR as is.

Mustangs in Canada. Did you see the pics of revamped Mosport? They paved the exit of T2. I lold at the people complaining that it was going to somehow ruin the racing by destroying fewer cars.

Stang's at Mosport is fun, but participation is always a bit low. I've never raced the Hatch, so that'll be an adventure.

They've paved a bunch of exits/runoffs to prep for the truck race.

I'm heading back there tonight. I got a late start last night and my 2nd race was a tad too late for my concentration. I had on of those races you want to forget about, but ruins your entire next day. You guys know those races? This race burned me up....I should have just gone to bed like the old man I am. Evil or Very Mad

Brands Hatch is good fun, but if you go off and spin (like I did twice last night) it's next to impossible to cleanly make your way back through the field. It's the kind of track where a good qualifying time is 85% of the race, then keeping it on track and consistent is the other 10%, then you need a little luck and a 5 Hour Energy for the other 5%.

I've gotta hang out with the wife tonight, therefore I'm only doing the 8:15 eastern race; unless of course it goes terribly bad again, then it's worth risking a divorce to do the 9:15 race too.

I'm clinging to 5th in the Solstice championship in the GTCup. The Finns are back and making a late season push, whereas I have run my 8 weeks and am looking to improve on my lower scores, which I didn't do last week and haven't done so far this week.

Haven't really committed to any other series enough to care about points, but the Mustang is at Oulton park, which is awesome. The SRF is at Oran Park, which is awesomer and the Skippy at RATL- Club which I hear can be a handful.

I did steal a late win the Skippy last week at Brads Hantch - Indy

Well, I started the season off with a view to having the Skippy as my main championship, but found myself being drawn more to the SRF. I think I'm sitting around 15th in Div. 3 with the Skippy with only 7 scores, so might be able to make the top 5 there by the end of week 12.

The SRF has been very good to me and I'm currently leading Div.3 by over 100 points and sitting 11th overall. Hoping to break the 1100 point mark and finish inside the top 10 overall.

I'm curious about the V8 supercar for next season. Has anyone given it a good run out, or is it just too difficult for us to get into official races if it's run by predominantly Aussies and Kiwis? Something is drawing me to it and I might buy it soon, but I plan on giving the Skip a bigger effort next season aswell. Smile

The V8SC is... it's... something else entirely. It is very powerful and very heavy. It will only do one thing at a time. It will brake. It will turn if it's going slow enough to. It will accelerate if you treat the throttle gently. It will not do any of those together in any reasonable combination you might be used to in oversteery cars like the SRF and Skippy. I want to drive it but I often can't. Enough practice and I might get there but it would have to be my main focus.

Finally got a good race with the Solstice/WG combo. Ended 2nd in class with 1 incident in a lot of traffic most of the race. Nice way to end the week. Kept losing it around lap 13 or so in the last left before the front straight Mad

. So I really made sure to hit the brake point and apex as perfect as I could even though some of the time I was slow. Better than wrecking I guess. Maybe I'm learnign something after all lol Shocked

Watched Roo for 2 of his earlier ones and saw 2 great races there too.

Lu'me'sum Zolder for the GTCup. Them chicanes is gonna launch a few Jettas when they outbrake themselves and understeer over the ~~ramps~~ curbs. More Jettas being Jets Very Happy

Oran Park for the Skippy is a blast.
