Going in cold = not recommended. Ran okay after 10 or so. My replay shows me with the worst wear, but Walls replay disagrees. Apparently that's another thing replays can't be trusted for.

Congrats to Rack, clacksman and Timney for their respective podium finishes Thumbs Up!

Turned out to be a struggle for me from the first turn of the race Sad. Timney was very cautious into turn 1 with the cold tyres and I guess I must have taken a nudge from someone behind as I ended up with left rear damage straight away. It wasn't too bad, but the final right hander onto the start/finish was very tricky and it made it much easier to make a mistake or two throughout the race. When I did manage a clean lap, I was able to run a 1'08.660 draft free, but this was mixed in with a few 1'10's and higher, lol. Lost Timney from the word go and was holding up the chasing pack for a while until a couple of mistakes eventually let Rack, Clacksman and Rooster through. Had fun trying to get back on Rooster's tail (no, it wasn't raining! lol) and did so with about 5 laps remaining, but couldn't find a way through. Got a run through the final turn on the penultimate lap, but obviously wasn't to be as I just lost control of the car and ran off track. Managed to limp home in 5th!

Had a lot of fun with this car and it took a lot of concentration to keep it on pace Wink

I loved this combo. Running alone here is a bit dull, but managing a gap, with somebody right there is a completely different experience. Having to manage braking pressure without ABS made it even more interesting to me.

Nice pics man. I especially like the ones that I'm still with everyone lol. Oh and hats off to Don for hangin with the damage. After I wacked the wall for the third time in the S/F straight, I decided it was enough and started watching you guys. Everone was doin really well I thought and then I switched onto Don and saw he was the only one runnin with damage. And he was right on Roo's behind. That was pretty impressive to me anyway. Lost a little here and there on the last few laps but still a great job. I was also watchin the front three for a good bit and you were great to watch. Your gap there was almost identical between you for quite a while, noone gainin or losing. Don't know what happened to Tim but C got by. Another 5 laps and the podium may have looked different.

I just couldn't seem to unroll my wheel right in that last corner and kept sliding right. My speed was consistant with you guys, just not the technique lol. Still don't know how Rack had such minimal tire wear the way he was drivin.

lol, thanks Wall. Obviously the damage wasn't too bad, but it might have cost me a chance to run right up front, however, I may well have made mistakes with a fully fit car Wink

yeah, it took me a few laps too to find my rhythm. The qualifying pre-race race normally helps me with that.
And I agree on the good times comment. Thumbs Up!

Wall surpised me on the first lap and passed me but one or 2 turns later I gained my position back. What an exciting way to start the race. clap
I wasn't able to keep up with the lead pack and from behind Forgetful pressured me and finally passed me. In the following laps he seemed to be a tiny bit faster than me but minor mistakes by him always allowed me to get back on his bumper. Around mid race a less minor mistake by Forgetful allowed me to pass him and from then on he couldn't catch back up to me.

I liked this event a lot and I'm already looking forward to next Friday. Speaking of next Friday, what track will we visit?

I did a 1'52.7 last night, seems quicker with more laps as tire wear isn't as big an issue as heat.
