Forgetful, what happened at the start of the race for you?
I'm mega bummed..lost my connection on lap 2. This is the first time that's ever happened to me. -112 iRating hit. Geesh!!!
I really hope that never happens again....it was very frustrating.

I got a trail braked on cold tires, bobbled and got punched in the right rear. Took a tow and came back out about a minute down. 2 Solstices crashed out so I finished 3rd, but that should have been an easy win.

Bummer! I'm still sick over last night...for both of us. I was confident that we were going to pull a DS win in both classes.
Now I'm internet gun shy. Has anyone else been dropped here before? I guess once in 83 races isn't bad, but it sure sucked last night.

Been dropped once, but that was when I was having networking trouble with the new laptop.
I wouldn't be too worried about it. Just make sure the little guy isn't streaming The Backyardigans on Netflix and the wife isn't torrenting Trueblood while you race.
Swapping cables can buy you some peace of mind.

Lmao V, as soon as I saw the time on yer post, I knew what it was.
Started in ninth and had good luck movin up fairly quick. Was right behind #1 guy for a few and I saw I had a better line through most of the corners and he surprised me and let me by lol. The hardest part was not blowing it for the next 18 laps. The guy I passed took a lot of pressure off me when he wacked the wall and gave me a 30+ second cushion. Everyone else was a lap down at that point so I backed off a bit and just tried to run as smooth as I could. Last 15 laps were in the 1:05's lol. Then the white comes out and everyone starts doing weird sh*t and I figured one of em was gonna wreck me. Went thru a few corners at about 25 mph. But I crossed with my first ever win with 0 incidents taboot. First ever includes GT5 . Thanks agin VK for watchin and postin.

I started watching at lap 17 and was sweating with you for the next 8 laps. I agree, weird things were going on and I thought you did very well staying calm and out of trouble. Even if it meant to almost come to a stop and wait until the others took each other out.

Yay wall.
The no quali right before a race was going on in some series last week too. The once-every-2-hours quali was right after the once-every-2-hours race ended, so ~100 minutes before. wtf man

Anyone interested in buying or hopping in their freshly detailed Mustang and joining me at Mid Ohio tonight? I'll be doing the 9:15 and 11:15 races tonight.
Man, I can't wait for the time change so I can get to bed before midnight. 11:15 is wwwaaaayyyy to late for me.

Consider my arm twisted Really need to work on sliding the car less. Started concentrating on that and shifting a bit earlier, got me a 37.9. Ice broken, just need some more practice now.

Sweet, logging on now. I hope I get up to speed quickly so I can qualify well. Hope to see you on track!

Good sharing the track with you guys tonight. Great result in a nicely stacked field G44!
I'm far too tired to race in the 11:15 race, so I'm sitting it out. Good luck to you guys if you decide to race!

I got loose and tagged the pit wall early on, but brought home a bent car in 10th place in that race. Came back for the 11:15 and finished 2nd with a clean race.
I also ran a couple of P>C races at Daytona (night, neat) in the Ford GT and fasttracked to my A class license.

Thank you muchly. Looked like you had you hands full up front with the pace you guys were ripping along at. Ran clean, but was hoping for a little better consistency. Kept trading tenths with 7th which kept him within striking distance most of the race. Tires and traffic finally gave me the cushion I needed to bring her home in 6th.
Once 11PM rolled around, I realized the late race wasn't in the cards for me either.

Was bummed when I saw you veering off as that pit wall ain't friendly. Don't think I had the pace to stay with ya, but sure was looking forward to trying. Nice job to stay with it to the flag. Even nicer job on snagging yourself the A license!

Re: Season 3 - Starts 30/07/12
I'm planning to move to the inRacingNews Challenge using the Solstice. The week starting tomorrow will be at Charlotte Motor Speedway - Road Course. After a rather painful beginning on a new track in a new car I got it now down to a best lap of 1'22.1; but I'm still lacking the ability to stay on track for more than 2 laps in a row.
Still lots of practice to do before I can share the track with others.

Haven't tried CMS yet, so I'll be right there learning with you vk. Watched Rack run there right after loading up iracing, appeared to be a tough place to find the line. Guess I'll find out tonight

The infield is somewhat vague with a few places where you can get aggressive in pushing the track boudaries before getting a 1x....make sure to learn the "the sims" boundaries though, because if you go too far you'll get a black flag.
There is also a nice little hill in the infield that is fun; just be sure to not over drive over the hump where the infield begins to dump back onto the oval, it will kill your whole run back to turn 1.
All in all, it's a pretty fun course.

An infield with elevation changes. Interesting.
This is where I'll be once stuff kicks back off. Today I'll have to repair the damage I did racing last night when apparently I forgot how to take that hairpin at the end of the infield straight at Okayama. I got the yips on that and just spun 4 times in 2 races. Add the contact from getting plowed through afterwards and I would have been better off watching TV.

Q'd the Solstice at CMS, Mosport up next.
Those of you who got in with the Cadillac deal can also come race the GT'less Grand Touring Cup at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, featuring the Jetta, MX-5 Roadster and Solstice.

Good call on CMS Spec, tis fun (and lenient ). Between your advice, following Rooster for a couple laps and watching Forgetful, I was able to get up to speed pretty quick. Will be seeing if I can muster a mid :22 next time a try a TT run.
