Update is live.
FT-1 is in. Basic colours. Mint Gray is neat.
R1 and L1 work again. Yay that.

Sounds like 1.03 broke timed races. Regardless of actual position, the first car to cross the line after time expires wins.

lol
What was happening previously was only cars crossing the line before timer expired got to do the final lap with the leader. So that may still be an improvement.
Maybe this time PD will learn and/or implement how races actually end in reality. At least they're running out of differently wrong ways to do it, thus they have to hit on the right way eventually even if it's an accident.

It can be done. iRacing even knew when to throw the white flag in a timed race.

Don't underestimate the number of wrong ways to do anything.clacksman wrote: At least they're running out of differently wrong ways to do it, thus they have to hit on the right way eventually even if it's an accident.

Re: Gran Turismo 6 general
Under my "questions for nerds" list heading, I have "inches or mm?". Stupid weird mismatched units make sense for US authenticity, but all the GTData values are in mm. I guess all standard countries will have mm, but Canada probably got stuck with imperialisation because of being in the same market as the US? I'll have to keep storing dimensions as mm, but will present as inches on the (alleged) GT6 side.
Re: Gran Turismo 6 general
Let's see here, with my game set to km in the options menu
Car dimensions: Inches
Ride Height: says inches but I doubt my 86 Race Base is at 115/100 in. Probably should be mm.
Spring Rate: kgf/mm
Car and Ballast weight: kg

Those are in 'mm' mislabeled as 'in' too.
The km/miles setting only changes speedo/odo/lap dist/race dist.

So I try out that blue Amemiya RX-7 (which I got as a prize car). Not bad. Could use a bit more powah.
Okay.
Put #2 turbo on it.
603 lb-ft tork.

That's a tad more than the GT5 number. Does it feel like 603 yard-ounces?clacksman wrote:So I try out that blue Amemiya RX-7 (which I got as a prize car). Not bad. Could use a bit more powah.

Oh yeah, it makes it. Whole power curve goes to the shape of an ice cream cone upside down. I think the hp peak was 5700.timneyb wrote:That's a tad more than the GT5 number. Re: Gran Turismo 6 general
Shelby GT500 '13 is a good car for Like The Wind. Makes better than 1100hp when loaded up.
Stock rear wing and GTAuto flat floor equipped top speed without draft : 395 km/h
Remove flat floor, no other changes : 435 km/h
So much for aerodynamic enhancement.
