While waiting for the gif to load, I wondered if we were going to be using the internet colloquial 'penis nose' and 'vagina nose' terms of endearment for the new cars.

Re: F1 2014 Discussion Thread
The only two cars you're missing are the Lolotus (Black/Beige) and the Marussia which is red/white/gold still. It's the simplest looking car on the grid, but it also looks the most like a GP2 or GP3 car. It looks like Marussia put all their eggs in the "finish ahead of Caterham in 2013" basket while Caterham bailed for 2014 in time, and with enough money, to design a car that looks like they tried.

Sorry kids, no 2014 F1 cars for GT6. Can't have that kind of smut in a game rated E For Everyone.

I want columns for teams (???-Honda-Brawn-Mercedes as one column, etc) and rows for years. I guess it wouldn't be square, and there'd be holes, but still.

Re: F1 2014 Discussion Thread
THe new Williams-Martini livery could end up being my favorite on the grid by a long while. Some examples/renders of potential liveries. If they did this first one with William's blue instead of all the white. Thick white swaths on either side of the Martini colors? Mmm mmm mm. I don't love all white racecars but, g'damn that bottom one is sexy too. I like how the ThatsapenisNose is blue which tricks the eye a bit.
Re: F1 2014 Discussion Thread
I'm considering developing a formal theory on race car liveries.
- Spoiler:
- Livery quality is inversely proportional to product quality.

If we're talking that Williams, I hope not. I want it to be beautiful and fast. Massa (Good Guy Massa) and Bottas (uh... seems ok) in a quick car could be a lot of fun to watch. And the Red Bull livery has always been quite good.
Actually, interesting question: What's the worst looking car/livery to win an F1 World Championship?
Re: F1 2014 Discussion Thread
I think you misinterpreted what exactly I was referring to in the second half of my spoilered comparison.
Something from the '70s.

Yes, I definitely did. You're saying product (as in the product that the sponsor makes), not product as in car. I'm not sure how to rank Cigarettes throughout the years though...
Hmmm, 70s you say? Lotus, Tyrell, McLaren and Ferrari won all the world titles in the 70s, so... JPS Lotus, Blue and blue/gold Tyrell, orange and white Texaco McLarens which I prefer even to the Honda/Marlboro variety, and RedLikeFerrari...

In the '70s (and early 80s) you get some terribly ugly cars with possibly good liveries but I don't directly know which car won anything ever, for more recent stuff I maybe know the driver and can figure the car from that. Might as well have asked "which was the best-looking car/livery to ever fail pre-qualifying".

I like that idea as well - the best looking cars to be totally worthless on a race weekend...
That BAR Honda with the split livery is much derided by the /r/formula1 folks but I think they're all crazy.
Re: F1 2014 Discussion Thread
Worth DLing the first races this year? Pic somewhat-to-mostly related.

I'd say so. Lots of racing outside of 1st place.
