I may watch live, but I will surely find a copy of the Sky/BBC coverage on the Internets for posterity..

F1 Gagnam style! Psy, buddy, that was the worst checkered flag waving I've ever seen. It's a figure eight motion in a rising and falling pattern. For someone so well choreographed you would think he would know that.
I'm worried Lewis will become a paranoid schizophrenic. He's had enough bad luck in the Macca that going to the team with the most DNFs this year will not be good for his mental health.
Speaking of mental health, nice to have you back Massa.

For the 20 races next year, NBC is promising 100 hours of coverage, which includes live coverage of practice and race sessions. Four of the races will be aired on NBC, including the Canadian Grand Prix and the final three races of the season. The balance of the schedule will be on the NBC Sports Network.
They intend to broadcast every race live, but there are a few scheduling conflicts right now. Regardless, every race will be live streamed on the internets we've heard so much about.
While there is no announcement on the commentary team, NBC has said that they want to have at least one person on the ground at every race. Maybe they should call, or tweet, Will Buxton for that job. They also said that they may have a full team of reporters on the ground at certain races, which is a stark change from SPEED's remote commentary team.

Re: Formula 1 - 2012 - The Official Discussion Thread
Christian Horner today suggested that using Team Orders at this point in the championship would be "wrong", but after the Korean Grand Prix, Mark Webber mentioned that it seemed that his side of the garage was doing a lot of hunting around for the right clutch bite point, which makes me wonder...
Could Red Bull be telling Mark that they aren't going to give him Team Orders because they're sabotaging him at the critical moments to make it unnecessary? Maybe I was reading too much in to it, but the look on Mark's face, and his typically exacerbated sigh seemed to indicate that there's at least some part of him who thinks so.
If so, that's a very interesting way to run a team...
For me though, the highlight of Korea was "Back off, Felipe, you're too close to Alonso." I believe that Smedley should have said "Felipe, Alonso is slower than you... can you confirm you understand this message?". I'd have thought it was hilarious, Felipe would have thought it was hilarious, Alonso and Stefano? Maaaybe not.

I paid about half attention to the Indian race last weekend. Nice track other than the local air quality.

India was reasonably precessional, but the end gave some tension as there was a serious concern at Red Bull that Vettel's floor would fail or he'd get a pucture. But that was the most exciting the race got really. I do love the track, but yeah, the air quality sucks which makes the track much uglier than it could/should be.
The Abu Dhabi circuit is gorgeous, but not that interesting.
Ah, the give and take...

I like Odieville. Some elevation change, some buildings, some alternate variations. Good stuff.
Watched from lap 38-on. Had no idea why Vettel was coming from the back. Lol Webber tripping over some idjits. lol interviews.
PS the Speed feed was two minutes back by interview time - TSN bailed after talking to Vettel, and by the time I found the remote and got to Speed I saw Vettel in entirety again, and then Kimis second while Vettel soaked DC. I like how Speed had a couple minutes to arrange bleeps and still missed.

Vettel had to start from the back because the FIA was not able to recover the 1.0L of fuel required for testing. If you believe Renault, they say that there was a problem with the fuel pump which meant that the car had plenty of fuel in the fuel cell for the FIA to recover, and they can't understand why the FIA was unable to get to it, but they will work to figure it out.
All of that aside, 24th (and the pitlane) to 3rd is an astonishing drive and has drawn out the masses of hypocrites of F1 fans who see a Jenson button doing the same thing as the 2nd coming, or when Mark Webber did it in China (I think? Malaysia?) last year, from 18th to 3rd, hailed as one of the best drives of the last 5 years. Vettel is being called lucky, spoiled, and a cheat.
Awesome to see Kimi win, if only because we get to see Kimi interviews and hear more Kimi team radio.

Sorry Rack, I'd planned on being there but plans changed after Wendy and I split. Pity, looks like an astonishingly good racetrack.
Re: Formula 1 - 2012 - The Official Discussion Thread
Speed had a 30-min special building-of-COTA on over the last couple days. Looks neater with the runoffs painted up redwhiteblue. Also lol @ the local politicos thinking they'll see economic benefit.

Random thought after reading an interview on Autosport: Does anyone care what Jacques Villeneuve thinks about anything?

Thought yesterday this was a continuation of the nonsequitur hijack of this thread, then today I realized it means you can't see the race. Last year of the FOX/Speed F1 so not much point upgrading it to FOX for the local-to-USers weekend I guess. Semi-related; I saw an ad for the Canadian coverage of it. It's on CTVtwo instead of the usual TSN.
1: What is CTVtwo?
2: Do I get CTVtwo?
3: Where the eff on the dial is CTVtwo?

No Fox coverage because football season was my guess.

Also, dat sig quote... Kimi is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine. Every time I see an interview with him, I think... if Clacksman had been an F1 driver...
